LIBROKILO PARMA

01 feb 2026

Librokilo returns to Parma with a vast selection of books saved from destruction.
On Sunday 1 February, from 10:00 to 19:00, it will once again be possible to purchase numerous books for £10 per kilo in the wonderful space of ColonneVentotto, a deconsecrated church that is now a centre for art, culture, and entertainment.

Over 5,000 volumes in excellent condition that we can save from being pulped for only £10 per kilo.

You can also bring your books in good condition to put into circulation, receive a voucher to use on the same day and actively contribute to virtuous recycling.

During the event, you can also visit Doppia Uso Singola, a photographic exhibition by Colapesce created by BDC in collaboration with Galleria Patricia Armocida, free of charge.

HOW DOES LIBROKILO WORK?

Choose the books you want and weigh them on our scales: 1 kg equals €10 regardless of the type or quantity of books. The minimum purchase is 1 kg. Beyond that, we also count the decimals — so, for example, if your stack weighs 1.3 kg, you’ll pay €13.

IS ENTRY FREE?

Yes, entry is free, but registration is required.

CAN I BRING MY USED BOOKS?

Yes! During the event you can bring your books in excellent condition, up to a maximum of 5 kg. We do not accept dictionaries, encyclopedias, newspaper inserts, magazines, or loose issues.

The final selection will be at Librokilo’s discretion. For every kilo of books you bring, you will receive a token that can be used only during the ongoing event

HOW CAN I PAY?

You can pay in cash, by credit or debit card, and via Satispay.

DO YOU PROVIDE BAGS OR TOTE BAGS?

To make an ecological and sustainable choice, we aim to limit disposable consumption as much as possible. That’s why we ask you to bring your own cloth bags, trolleys, or recycled bags from home.
